Past Restorations

Waco UBF-2 12443 s/n 3606 photographed during it's test flight in June 2011. This was the last restoration at Woods Brothers and the 6th F-2 restored by the Woods family.

 

Waco UBF-2 13444 was comissioned by a client and restored up to test assembly by Woods Brothers. It was later sold before restoration was completed to another builder in Tennessee. We hope to see this old girl take to the air soon.

 

Waco QCF-2 N11468 after a complete restoration in 1984 by Aero Meridian. This aircraft went on to win Reserve Grand Champion at EAA Airventure in Oshkosh while owned by Jim Warren.

 

The late John Denver flies his newly restored QCF-2 N12428 over the Arizona desert. John commissioned the restoration of this aircraft with Aero Meridian after falling in love with the F-2.

 

Chris Woods flies Waco UBF-2 N13071 over Northern California. This aircraft originated from Curly Havelaar's shop as a new fuselage with center section. It was purchased and completed at Aero Meridian in 1990. She won the prestigious Rolls-Royce National Aviation Heritage Invitational's Orville and Wilbur Wright Best Anitique award at the Reno National Air Races in 2004.

 

Scott Woods flies UBF-2 N13074 over Northern California. This aircraft underwent a complete restoration at Aero Meridian in 1992. She won the prestigious Rolls-Royce National Aviation Heritage Invitational's Orville and Wilbur Wright Best Anitique award at the Reno National Air Races in 2003.

 

Rod Magner of MagicAir.com gives rides in his beautiful 1929 Travel Air D-4000. MagicAir is located on Orcas Island, Wa . This aircraft was completely restored at Aero Meridian in 1985.

 

1929 Fleet 7 NC432K restored by Aero Meridian 1982.

 

Aero Meridian carried out a complete, ground up restoration of 1917 Curtiss JN-4D "Jenny" 34094 in 1983. This rare aircraft was commissioned by the Owls Head Museum of Owls Head, Maine. Aero Meridian was also commissioned to build the wings for Frank Schelling's award winning 1918 JN-4H Jenny 3223.
